The Fire Is Hot...
But how many irons does it need!?
Cat and I have a lot of stuff out there right now. Spec scripts, pitches and more. I have begun to hate the phrase "we'll see," but it appears that is all we can do.
The good news is we had our first pitch for the teen adventure and it went really well. They liked it and may want us to come back and pitch it to the president of the company. So, we'll see. haha
We have the same pitch coming up this week at another company. We've worked with them before and we know they liked the logline/concept when we mentioned we were working on it a while ao, so we hope they like the full pitch.
We struck out on a few of our SyFy Channel ideas as they had things similar in development or just didn't want to go in certain directions, but we have one more up our sleeve at this time -- a variation of HG Wells' "The Time Machine." We are waiting to hear about that. Another company who asked us for ideas for SyFy, although SyFy passed originally on the idea, may still want to revisit a "reimagining" we came up with of a classic story. Hopefully, something will come of that.
Until next time -- and more updates -- we are working on our next spec (a horror/thriller in the mold of SCREAM and URBAN LEGEND) and a pitch (a sci-fi thriller).
But what we really want to do is write our teen adventure!
