Fingers Crossed!

The other day I had a great conversation with the executive at Starz. She said that, even though SciFi passed on the ideas they presented, they were still hopeful about one -- which, it turns out, they had not presented. Starz wanted to wait to come back with it, which we are really happy about as it is one of the ones we really wanted to write, anyway. So, we revised it a bit and sent it off. Hopefully, Starz will present it and SciFi will give them the greenlight. On top of that, we also sent them a slew of new concepts...we are really hoping to get some jobs out of those.

We also found out that our variation on "The Time Machine" was well-recived by the production company, but they want to meet again so we can retool it to make it as perfectly presentable to SciFi as possible. It would be a blast to write that as well.

Hey, if Cat and I can make 2009 our year of "SciFi," we'll take it!

On top of that, we're waiting to hear what Hallmark thinks of our Christmas movie. We love that film and really hope a network wants it. It gets great feedback from those who read it. And, being an avid watcher of Hallmark, Lifetime and ABC Family during the holidays, I have to say it would be perfect for one of them!

Onward and upward while we wait: I am taking the reins on our sci-fi thriller while cat takes over the horror project. We are hoping we can knock these two specs out and have more great material to show and sell.
