It's No April Fool's! Production Day Five!

Here are we are in the home stretch...things were looking good...nothing too dramatic. And then? Well, sorry for the build up, but nothing really dramatic. Just a few things related to thinking we'd wrap at 3am (ha! VERY wishful thinking) and, instead, we wrapped at about 7am.

Things did go well, today. We shot mostly the bedroom scenes (get your mind out of the gutter; it is not what you're thinking). They went well and, as expected, Dana gave a very riveting performance in being upset and angry at her friend on the phone.

There was a tiny bit of delay in dealing with the sound. The Red system is very sound sensitive and it really does pick up every little bit. it turns out a mysterious low hum was coming from...the TiVo unit! Who'd have thunk?! A quick unplugging of that helped us make nice with the awesome sound guy's microphones and boom, and we were good to go.

We then went into the bathroom for a very creepy and atmospheric scene where Dana looks into the mirror illuminated only by candlelight. It looked SO good!

Then, yes kids, it was off to the final scene with Dana: the bathtub scene. Ahem, once again, get your mind out of the gutters. Not that kind of scene (but if you're into girls taking baths eating cake, well, then...you have issues).

It was great, and we actually got a really funny moment for the blooper reel. i am not sure if this is a personal thing or if every producer goes through it, but the moment you see a really funny outtake, you kinda want more for the dvd extras. :-)

With that done, and Dana wrapped (she gave the most wonderful heartfelt speech about how much she loved the script, and being a part of the movie and how her character allowed her to open up and tap into stuff she'd been wanting to use...it was awesome) it was time for a few insert shots.

Then goodbyes and helping the crew get their stuff in order.

All that done, the sun was shining...and it was time to close my eyes and put "Madison" to bed.

And when i wake up, it's time to start the next one!

More on that to come!
